Champagnat Day

Founder of the Marist Brothers, St Marcellin Champagnat, died on Jun 06, 1840, at Notre Dame de L'Hermitage, St Chamond, France, aged 51. With Fr Jean-Claude Colin, he was one of the Fourvière twelve. They were close friends.

2017 marks the bicentenary of Fr Champagnat's founding the Marist Brothers in the nearby village of Lavalla.

Happy Feast Day, Brothers!

Federation green

Recent weeks have seen a cheerful band of painters administering a six-yearly touch-up to the Villa Maria precinct, Hunters Hill.

Most of the historic site's buildings received scrubbings, undercoats and glossy measures of federation green and cream paint.

Looking good.
