Faith, ministry and ageing seminar

Vincentian priest and moral theologian, Fr Laurence McNamara CM, led two recent seminars for ageing Australian Marists.

On Aug 25 & 26 Fr Laurie presented the theme of 'faith, ministry and ageing' to over thirty senior Marists focusing on the 'benefits and burdens' of the ageing process.

Topics included the challenges and blessings of growing old physically, spiritually and socially, as well as retirement issues of loneliness and faith and other challenging issues in priestly and religious ministry.

'Adorned with the sun...'

Marist priests from the Villa Maria community regularly celebrate the Eucharist with the Marist Sisters at Woolwich, NSW.

They see the work of Sr Marie-Patricia SM who creates seasonal 'mini-shrines' in the common room of the retired Sisters' residence, 'Marian House'.

Sr Marie-Pat's latest features the Apocalypse image of the 'woman, adorned with the sun, standing on the moon, and with the twelve stars on her head for a crown' (Apoc 11:19).

Happy Feast of the Assumption to all our web visitors!
