O God, source of all goodness, who have shown us in Saint Mary a woman of faith
living by the power of the Cross, teach us, we pray,
by her example to live the gospel in changing times
and to respect and defend the human dignity of all in our land.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, God forever and ever. Amen.

Cause dossier in Rome

A significant milestone in the Cause for Beatification of Jean-Claude Colin was reached recently when dossiers supporting the process were delivered to the Vatican.

On Jul 27 Abbé Pierre Peyret, episcopal delegate for the causes of beatification and the canonisation in the diocese of Lyons, formally delivered the two boxes of documents, prepared by the diocesan authorities, for the Cause Jean Claude Colin, to the Congregation for the Causes of Saints.

From Rome, Fr Ben McKenna reports: 'Abbé Peyret then came to the General House where we enjoyed the gift of his presence, and the account of his work in regard to our Founder’s Cause.  He celebrated the Eucharist with and for us and met with our postulator, Fr Carlo Maria Schianchi, who will take up the work to be done with the Congregation after the normative August summer holidays.'                                 [Aug 03]
